MD4K - Isle Of Man - in IOTA contest · 26 July 2009 by Michael Wells

I was active on 25/26 July at MD4K for the RSGB IOTA contest. We had a great time, with good openings on 10m and 15m. Thanks for the contacts! Hopefully we will have done well. As a guest op, this was the first time I’ve operated from MD4K and I found it was an excellent, highly tactical contest experience – and what a great team!

Logbook of the World
LoTW is another electronic bureau for QSLs, and is valid for awards. I put all of my logs into LoTW on a regular basis. Unfortunately LoTW is hard to set up - be prepared for this!

M0BLF
Dominic Smith (M0BLF), a friend from CUWS and also well-known ham radio software and web site developer.

nGenLog
I use nGenLog as my station logging software; it's a brilliantly designed product which suits my needs chasing DX and QSLing. Supported by a really great team of developers in Sweden.

Win-Test
Win-Test is my preferred DXpedition software and contest software. It's got the fastest log entry and really great stats & feedback.
